Amazon runs its own delivery network in many countries and also uses national carriers. Marketplace sellers ship independently, so tracking quality varies sharply between a Prime order and a third-party one.
Which carriers Amazon uses
Amazon Logistics references start with TBA and are only trackable through Amazon. Orders shipped by a carrier carry that carrier’s own number.

10 digits (Express), or JJD / JVGL prefix (eCommerce)
- USPS
20 to 22 digits, or UPU format ending in US

Two letters + 9 digits + GB

13 characters, usually starting 6A or 8R, or UPU format ending in FR

How long does delivery take?
1–5 days domestically, longer for marketplace imports
Times are indicative. Customs clearance in the destination country is the single largest variable and is outside the carrier's control.
What buyers get wrong about Amazon
- A TBA number will not work on any carrier site: it belongs to Amazon’s own network and is only visible in your Amazon account.
- Third-party sellers shipping from China use the same networks as AliExpress, with the same transit times, despite the Amazon branding.
- "Delivered" on Amazon Logistics is sometimes recorded on arrival at the building rather than at the door.
