Track your Etsy order
Etsy sellers are mostly small independent makers shipping with their national postal operator, so tracking follows whichever postal service the seller uses.
Which carriers Etsy uses
Expect a national postal format: USPS in the United States, Royal Mail in the UK, Colissimo in France.
- USPS
20 to 22 digits, or UPU format ending in US
- Royal Mail
Two letters + 9 digits + GB
- Canada Post
16 digits, or UPU format ending in CA
- Colissimo
13 characters, usually starting 6A or 8R, or UPU format ending in FR
- Deutsche Post
12 to 20 digits, or UPU format ending in DE
- Posti
Two letters + 9 digits + FI, or 14-20 digits
- NZ Post
Two letters + 9 digits + NZ, or 13 alphanumeric characters
How long does delivery take?
3–14 days, plus the seller’s stated production time
Times are indicative. Customs clearance in the destination country is the single largest variable and is outside the carrier's control.
What buyers get wrong about Etsy
- Made-to-order items have a production time before dispatch. The order is not late until that window has passed.
- Small sellers sometimes ship untracked to keep postage low; in that case no number is issued at all.
